New business season launched in Pechatniki
On the last day of summer SEZ Technopolis Moscow housed the first business festival Greenfield Fest. More than 7 thousand Moscow citizens took part in the launching of the new business season together with hitech industry leaders.
The festival welcomed famous Russian and foreign experts and business coaches including Igor Mann, a marketing and culture expert and co-founder of Mann, Ivanov and Ferber publishing house, and futurologist Tomas Frey.
The speakers speculated on how digitalization affects the society. On the one hand, social networks create limitless opportunities for communication, on the other hand they make it increasingly hard to preserve the privacy of personal data. A lot of the speakers also emphasized the importance of constant self-education, which has become a necessary condition for career growth.
This interest in acquiring new skills and knowledge was proven by the amount of participants in thematic workshops and business sessions. The visitors took active part in the discussions. In the tenant zone the entrepreneurs addressed their questions to Kristina Volkonitskaya, Deputy Head of Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship, and Igor Ishchenko, Acting CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow.
“Moscow is a market that has large investment and human resource potential, and business development prospects. The Government of Moscow has been running the SEZ for two years, and probably the most important thing we did for the tenants was the nullifying of regional taxes by the decision of Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin”, - said Kristina Volkonitskaya. - Three new lab facilities are going to be built in Alabushevo in the near future. Every day we work on new means of support and subsidies for the SEZ. Now we can facilitate each development stage of a new company in Moscow: site choice, installation of equipment, recruitment assistance, domestic and export market entry”.
Acting CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow Igor Ishchenko opened the festival by noting that in the industrial territory of the SEZ one can feel “completely not industrial”.
“One wouldn’t dare or sometimes be able to enter this site seven years ago. Now we see wonderful young faces here – these are the people who create the economy of the city with their own hands, who give birth to new ideas and implement them. The Greenfield Fest organizers tried to make you feel completely “not industrial” in this industrial territory and show you that there is time for taking it easy as well as for working”, - said Igor Ishchenko.
The list of performers included Tesla Boy, Mgzavrebi, Brainstorm, VLNY, Guru Groove Foundation, DJ Malygina. The interactive zone offered various activities: table hockey, streetball, jenga, Technopoly, and quizzes.
SEZ "Technopolis "Moscow" is a subordinate structure of the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of Moscow.
